A Scandal? A scandal erupted overseas at the annual Quodpot “Blow-out Bowl”. The Bowl, the annual meeting of the two best teams in Quodpot, normally features a star-studded spectacular pre-play show that is highly anticipated among Quodpot fans. This year, however, scandal erupted when the Banshee presentation went a bit out of hand. Performing wailers were caught entrancing the audience, then stripping their robes in an ancient practice that has been illegal for centuries. “I’m shocked...utterly shocked and appalled,” stated Marilyn Sanderson, a longtime Boston Burners fan. “I had my children watching...how are they supposed to understand such indecency?” Representatives for the Burners, who provided the Banshee display, stated that they “had no idea such behavior would occur among the Banshee and would never have allowed such a presentation if they had been aware of the behavior beforehand.” A Spokesman for the Banshees themselves deny any wrongdoing. “This whole thing was a complete accident. They are sorry if anyone thought such actions were intended or purposeful. The emergence of You-Know-Who has everyone confused and shaken up.” For most Blow-out Bowl fans, however, the stunt is a bit too close to another famous Muggle event that took place not to long ago. “It seems we’re always trying to keep up with the Muggle events,” lamented one frustrated wizard. “Why do we have to top them? Now, we’re more indecent than they are, and they don’t even know who we are!” Despite the incident, the rest of the bowl went smoothly, placing the Boston Burners hard won winners over the Wisconsin Warlocks, 17-10. “We’re going to have to turn back to more familial values,” said John Espers, head of the WBS, which broadcast the show. “Wizards nowadays need to be taught the meaning of goodness, without all of this scandalous hullabaloo. We’re going to work harder to make sure our kids are learning the very best morals they can.” Quidditch Scores British National Teams: Appleby Arrows (1-3) l.
