Rita's Quick Quotes Quill
I’ve been NAMED!!!!

For those of you wonderfully curious lot who’ve been just aching to discover who exactly would portray the most intriguing character of the next Harry Potter film, put your minds at ease.

Miranda Richardson, of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow fame, has been cast to play Yours Truly in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. A brilliant, and I mean BRILLIANT English actress who has been nominated for an Oscar© more than once, this magnificent lady boasts a plethora of fine performances throughout her movie and film career.

She is perhaps most noted for her portrayal of the twins in Sleepy Hollow (because it was a “blockbuster”), but she has actually worked in scores of movies, mostly high-brow, period or independent pictures that truly showcase her overwhelming talent.

Did I mention overwhelming?

Perhaps most brilliant of all, her first feature film role was under the direction of helmsman Mike Newell, who is, at present, the director for the next Harry Potter. She has returned for another few films (including the fantastic, addicting Enchanted April. Perhaps this influenced her decision to sign on; I personally like to think it was because my character is by far the most compelling of any of the actors. Anyhow, the movie is certain to step up to four-star range, with this brilliant and talented actress as a member of the cast. Certainly, she will provide wonderful entertainment, pared against both the soft-hearted Daniel and the newly liberated Emma. What an exciting picture to anticipate!

***Despite Rita’s “overwhelming” enthusiasm for Ms. Richardson, the editors of The Quibbler really are quite excited that such a talented, beautiful lady will be taking on the role of Rita Skeeter. She has a depth that matches that of Alan Rickman and Gary Oldman, and will most certainly provide a fantastic new face to the Potter set. Here’s hoping her old comrade Mike Newell will appreciate her talents and set her in the film as she deserves, and not make her appearance as brief as Julie Christie’s was.***
